Save The Monastery Of The Angels

Since 1934, the Monastery of the Angels has been a sacred Catholic space in Hollywood, providing emotional and spiritual sustenance to seekers of all faiths. Now that the community of Dominican sisters is dwindling and may no longer be able to maintain their work, our group has formed with the intent to purchase and maintain the Monastery of the Angels. If you love this place, please join us as we work to ensure that the chapel, grounds and buildings by master architect Wallace Neff are preserved as sacred Catholic space in anticipation that another contemplative Catholic community can one day be invited to make its home at the Monastery of the Angels and there can continue to be a spiritual Catholic presence in the Hollywood Hills.

When we learned that the Dominican Order might no longer be able to maintain the Monastery of the Angeles in Hollywood, and that the land might be sold for private use or redevelopment, we came together to find a way to keep this special place intact and accessible to the community.
